John Binning Sr

  General Notes:

John was a farmer and property owner in the Town of Clay in Onondaga County, NY. He was born in England as were his parents (names unknown). He was a wagonmaker in England before coming to the U.S (source: his grandson Harlow). The 1870 Federal Census lists his real estate value at $6,890 and personal property of $2,500.

The 1870 census also lists William Binning, age 64 or 66 as living in the household. His occupation: farm laborer. His parents were foriegn born. It is unclear what his relationship is to John who is age 40 at the time of the 1870 census.

John married Ann Binning. (Ann Binning was born in 1828 in England.)
